We are currently searching for qualified candidates for a Data Engineer for our Enterprise Applications team. Please see the details for the position below. Please see the details for the position below.

Title: Data Engineer
Location: Hybrid in Ireland - Must be eligible to work for the Republic of Ireland.

The Responsibilities: The Data Engineer is responsible for developing ETL processes to help build a data warehouse in Azure and also developing reports around data pulled from Dynamics 365. The reports will be developed primarily using Power BI with potentially some SQL Reporting Services (SSRS). The ETL will be developed primarily in Azure Data Factory. The Data Engineer will work closely with the rest of the Enterprise Applications team, and this will require excellent communication skills. The Data Engineer will also assist with resolving production support issues.

• Specific responsibilities will include:
• ETL Development
  
• Power BI Report Development
• Ad Hoc data requests
• Responding to Production Support Issues
• Working for the BI Team in an Agile environment

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop ETL Processes to pull data from Dynamics 365 into a data lake and then build a data warehouse on top of this data.
• Develop pipelines in Azure Synapse Pipelines/Azure Data Factory.
• Develop Reports and Dashboards using Power BI as defined by the BI Business Analyst
• Analyze existing SQL Server Stored Procedures and transform them into ETL processes in ADF/Databricks/Azure Synapse etc.
• Unit Testing and Documentation
• Participate in Agile process including daily standups
• Prioritize work to ensure responsiveness and delivery on commitments
• Other job-related duties as assigned

The Requirements: You'll have experience working as a Data Engineer. This means developing reports, ETL Processes, Unit Testing, Documentation and Production Support.

• 5+ years’ work experience.
• 3 years’ experience as a Data Engineer/BI Developer.
• Hands-on ETL experience
• ADF/Azure Pipeline is the preferred tool but any experience in ETL tools like Datastage, Data Services, Informatica, SSIS etc will do.
• Sound Data warehouse concepts.
• Hands on experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Very comfortable using MS SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Hands on technical experience with MS SQL Server developing SQL Views and Stored Procedures.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to ask clear questions to understand requirements.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to complete work on a timely basis in an Agile environment.
• Experience with any of the following is preferred: SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Integration Services (SSIS), Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, best practices in data visualization, Azure Data Bricks, and Microsoft Excel.
