Job description

Your mission
 
  • Partner with Product and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy.
  • Design and implement robust analytic solutions ranging from basic statistical analysis to advanced Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence algorithms to cover the identified needs
  • Construct and manipulate large datasets, and apply creativity in developing solutions using SQL, Python, and other tools
  • Analyze data to discover hidden trends; deliver insights and analysis with clear actionable recommendations
  • Design, build, and implement models into our solutions.

Location
  • Remote in Spain. 
  • Hybrid in Santander 
Your profile
  • Bachelor degree/MSc in a relevant field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Math, Psychologist or other related subject
  • If you are a Ph.D. student or have your Ph.D., you are exactly what we are looking for. No prior corporate experience is required.
 
You have experience in several of the following areas:
  • Background in statistics: familiarity with practically applying both descriptive and predictive models.
  • Solid background using Bayesian statistics and inference.
  • Solid understanding of the Generalized Linear Model (GLM), preferably having developed customized models to suit diverse needs.
  • Experience designing and optimizing Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs). 
  • You have employed Bayesian optimization for hyperparameter searching.
  • Knowledge of psychometry (SEM, CFA, EFA, EGA, etc.).
  • Experience with NLP and using LLMs.
  • Enjoy taking ownership and challenging existing approaches
  • Strong curiosity, problem-solving and problem-finding skills; creative mindset.
  •  Proactive attitude towards the creation and evaluation of new hypotheses and products.
  • Ability to synthesize business questions to key research objectives.
Hands-on knowledge of data science and Big Data tools:
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL & NoSQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software
And techniques:
  • Solid understanding of Generalized Linear Models (GLMs).
  • STAN (cmdstanpy, RStan, etc.) for Bayesian statistical modelling.
  • Regression, clustering and other ML algorithms.
  • Experience with Huggingface models for generating text embeddings.
  • Experience with Deep Learning frameworks, preferably PyTorch.
  • Experience with ML.NET and Azure Machine Learning
  • Experience with additional programming languages (such as: C#, Java)-
  • Familiarity with HR / Occupational data and databases
  • Data visualization skills to generate qualitative insights
