Job Title: Remote Entry-Level Certified Medical Coder

Location: Candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zones

Job Overview

We are excited to invite applications for the position of Remote Entry-Level Certified Medical Coder. This full-time role, offering the flexibility of remote work, is ideal for individuals eager to kickstart their careers in the medical coding field. If you hold a current CPC-A® or CPC® certification and possess a meticulous attention to detail, we eagerly await your application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze medical records to accurately assign CPT and ICD-10-CM codes to diagnoses and procedures.
  • Maintain a robust workflow and productivity, ensuring a minimum accuracy rate of 95%.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, along with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing education to meet and uphold coding certification standards.
  • Stay informed about the latest coding guidelines, including:
    • Current ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting
    • 2024 Documentation Guidelines for E/M Services
  • Work a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
Required Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Strong organizational skills and a reliable work ethic.
  • Capability to work autonomously and manage task prioritization effectively.
  • Proficient communication skills in English.

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Current CPC-A® or CPC® certification is mandatory.
  • Ideally, possess 1-2 years of experience in E/M coding.
  • Ability to sit and focus on computer tasks for extended periods.
