Overview:

We are seeking a highly technical and experienced Senior/Lead AI Engineer with deep expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, optimization algorithms, and metaheuristic techniques. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and review of complex software solutions, with a primary focus on AI/ML applications. As the go-to technical expert, you will ensure that cutting-edge algorithms and models are seamlessly integrated into our systems. The ideal candidate is an advanced coder with strong architectural skills in AI/ML frameworks and thrives in a hands-on role within a smaller, dynamic setup. Your leadership will drive innovation in both software engineering and AI capabilities.

Note: This is not a management role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models and systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Serve as the primary technical expert for Machine Learning, Deep Learning, optimization algorithms, and metaheuristic techniques, providing guidance and support to the team.

• Architect complex AI-driven solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing platforms and infrastructure.

• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members to ensure high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, translating them into technical solutions leveraging AI and ML techniques.

• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in AI/ML to drive innovation and incorporate best practices into projects.

• Lead efforts to optimize model performance, including hyperparameter tuning, algorithm selection, and feature engineering.

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML projects, from data preprocessing and model training to deployment and continuous improvement.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and ethical AI practices, implementing appropriate safeguards for AI governance and security.

Qualifications:

• Candidates have full working rights for Malaysia.

• A strong educational background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field. An advanced degree (e.g., Master's, PhD) is preferred but not required if skills and experience are demonstrable.

• Strong years of experiences in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, optimization algorithms, and metaheuristic techniques.

• Advanced coding proficiency in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or similar.

• Proven ability to architect and implement large-scale AI solutions that are both technically sound and aligned with business objectives.

• Extensive experience working with data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and hyperparameter tuning.

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or similar, with a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and tools for AI/ML deployment, such as AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, or Azure Machine Learning.

• Experience with OpenAI API is a plus.

• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker, especially in the context of AI model deployment.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization and scalability of AI models and solutions.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and to mentor junior engineers.

• Currently staying in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor.

• Have personal transportation available (car).

6. Offer Acceptance - You will have 5 days to review and e-sign the offer. Please note that if we do not receive your response within this 5-day period, the offer will be considered void.

We will not entertain expected salary above our advertised salary. Also, we will evaluate your current salary and may ask for your payslips.
