We are now looking for a Lead Data Engineer - Operations in India (FULLY-REMOTE)!


As Lead Data Engineer - Operations, you'll ensure the smooth operation of our data platforms, acting as the primary interface with management and cross-functional IT teams to enhance operational efficiency through ITIL processes (incident, request, problem, change).


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a distributed Data Operations team, ensuring data availability, timeliness, and reliability.
  • Lead data monitoring, issue identification, and resolution, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot data availability issues, escalate as needed, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Manage data sourcing connections and data pipeline tasks.
  • Track tasks using ServiceNow, ensuring timely completion.
  • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency with data sourcing partners.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices for data security and availability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand user impacts of upcoming releases.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in data management, integration, or a similar operational role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, SQL (Python is a plus), and data integration tools (Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Synapse).
  • Knowledge of data management (permissions, security, monitoring).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure), DevOps, and ServiceNow is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience with offshore teams and eagerness to learn and optimize processes.


Preferred Experience:

  • Data pipelines, transformations, ETL optimizations, and complex SQL.
  • Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and Azure Synapse Spark.
  • Estimating, planning, testing (unit, performance, regression), and production support.
