The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Government Sales Executive for EC, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Lead by building relationships with key decision makers

  • Implement account strategy including coordination, opportunity identification, and managing the account relationship process.

  • Determine multiple levels and subsidiaries with high focus on C-suite and KDM’s

  • Support Government Affairs Manager with the execution of the strategy plans by supporting the Government team with collaboration and activities in their territory.

  • Willingness to be on-call. Our Patients and clinicians need our help afterhours is part of the position.

Your Skills and Expertise 

  • Grade 12

  • Effective written and verbal skills.

  •  Must be well organized, detail orientated, well developed planning abilities and must be able to use own initiative.

  • Understand marketing strategies.

  • Understand people and their needs.

  • Ability to be patient and educate effectively.

  • Strong administration skills.

  • A minimum of 4-5 years working experience within the Government sales environment in a medical field.

  • Proven track record of sales targets, and growing market share.

  • Team Player

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification (diploma/degree)– Marketing, Medical field, BSc, Medical Technology

  • Experience in the territory for minimum of 3 years and current relationships in the EC.

Work location: The job required to be based in East London with frequent country trips to Umtata.

Travel: May include up to 70%

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
