Role Title

Regional Coordinator, Member Engagement

Purpose of role

Reporting to the Team Lead, Member Engagement Operations, the Regional Member Engagement Coordinator will be the face of Foresters Financial within their Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting skilled, enthusiastic Foresters members who are engaged in Foresters Purpose and for continuing to nurture relationships and build a healthy pipeline of volunteers to drive new engagement in Foresters Member Network. This role requires a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and travel within their Region. Hours will fluctuate throughout the year depending on when activities take place.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Development of Foresters member volunteers through a series of in person and virtual activities
  • Execute community volunteer and Foresters Moments events, primarily on weekends and evenings, with focus on urgent/critical branch council areas (travel required)
  • Attend member led activities to engage with volunteer event hosts and the attendees
  • Identify innovative activities to support Foresters Purpose and member development
  • Identify and develop members with potential for leadership, including skill development and recruitment to serve on Branch Council in their Region
  • Support Member Engagement strategies (Governance, Benefits, Marketing and Partnerships) by assisting Team Leads and Specialists in execution and monitoring
  • Support partnership and sales activities, as well as Leadership and three country webinars
  • Guide members to develop the desired skills, qualities, and confidence needed to be a successful volunteer leader within Foresters
  • Track, monitor and provide up to date data about member status in the pipeline, according to the member journey model
  • Provide consistent, accurate and streamlined communication to our members for continued engagement throughout the year
  • Collaborate with Governance team to strengthen the connection between the two teams to continue to grow the Member Network and support a seamless transition for our members
  • Provide photos and content for social media, Foresters Blog, annual reports, corporate sustainability reports, Foresters First Look etc.
  • Clear understanding of and adherence to legal, compliance, and privacy regulations
  • Administrative duties include daily review of email and Microsoft Teams, monthly pipeline tracker maintenance, monthly lead sheet updates, post activity reporting (including donation letters from benefitting community partners), monthly expense submissions, other annual online trainings and related tasks

Key Qualifications

Successful candidates must be positive, reliable, collaborative, adaptable, comfortable with change, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to perform the essential duties of the position, including:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated successful volunteer engagement experience
  • Demonstrated experience successfully working with volunteers, including understanding volunteer motivation
  • Demonstrated community involvement and/or volunteerism
  • Previous experience in event planning or project management
  • Self-starter who can comfortably work independently from their home office
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Excited to learn new technology and skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal, phone, and written communication skills, including cold calls
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable with public speaking and presenting
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple accountabilities simultaneously
  • Pragmatic thinker and problem solver
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with measuring, recording and maintaining activity data information and results
  • A printer/scanner, email, internet, phone (unlimited calling plan) are required
  • Position requires travel within designated Region, must have access to own vehicle
  • Valid passport is required for occasional international travel
