The Regional Operational Technology Consultant, works in a team of 4 as part of the pladis Global IT team, reporting to the Head of Operational Technology and within the pladis Global IT Infrastructure team.  They will lead the control and automation systems infrastructure strategy (OT L0-L3) for pladis UK factories, providing central support and project development resource for factory automation systems as required.

They work closely with the pladis supply chain teams including site engineering, projects, and manufacturing teams to proactively manage the OT environment, with particular focus on obsolescence, security, new installations, hardware and software standards, plus driving of new OT technology solutions to deliver supply chain improvements.

They will work with the maintenance technicians and project teams on sites in UK and possibly in other pladis regions, to assist, coach and train as appropriate, the skills needed to support the factory automation infrastructure.

They will work with the wider global IT infrastructure, application, and security teams, to ensure that general pladis IT standards and strategies are implemented and enforced where appropriate.
