Job Description

We are currently looking for an environmental sustainability expert to play a leading role in implementation of sustainability-related projects across the whole Ignitis Group. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Taking full ownership of sustainability projects, leading cross-functional teams and applying a hands-on approach to managing environmental impacts, mitigating risks, and capitalizing on opportunities in key environmental areas;
  • Developing and implementing environmental policies that would establish best-in-class practices across the Group, ensuring compliance and alignment with highest sustainability standards;
  • Supporting the refinement of the Group's GHG emissions calculations and improvement of decarbonization initiatives to meet or exceed established targets;
  • Cultivating strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and engagement to drive successful project outcomes;
  • Contributing to high-quality sustainability and ESG disclosures.

Qualifications
  • Educational degree corresponding to the nature of this position;
  • At least 5 years of experience of working in sustainability or environmental management in business organisation;
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects with a high degree of autonomy and excellent skills to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment;
  • Strong familiarity with relevant sustainability frameworks, standards, and regulations;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Lithuanian and in English, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners;
  • A keen eye for detail, constantly striving to improve your activities by seeking opportunities for digitization and automation.
