About Smartpricing
We are Smartpricing, and we support small and medium-sized accommodation providers with solutions to help them fight back against the huge hotel chains. We started in 2020 by providing these companies with a dynamic pricing manager which can update room prices 100 times per day, and increase revenue by 30%. We were named one of Italy’s top start-ups in 2023, and are the fastest-growing B2B SaaS company in the accommodation space in revenue and number of clients. Today we are working with over 3000 companies in over 17 countries, steadily growing. Yet, this is only the start of our journey.
 

As we head into 2025, we are looking to launch a suite of new products and focus on internationalizing our reach further. This means we have a very exciting time ahead of us, and require to work with some of the best people the tech industry has. 

What Will You Do?

As part of our continued growth we are looking for a VP of Marketing, based anywhere in Europe, to help us build out our marketing function. As we continue to grow, we need someone to help us build a top-tier marketing function by providing strategic direction and vision. This requires overhauling foundational marketing processes, with the intent to scale, as well as strong headcount planning and benchmarking performance against the rest of the industry. 


You would be taking control of our brand Marketing, Communications and Lead Generation strategies, and build a commercially-driven marketing department that will have a proven effect on the company’s overall revenue. Our current team of 5 marketing professionals will be reporting into you, enabling you to focus on building a strong attribution engine and improve brand awareness. Ultimately, your main goal will be to drive up the percentage of revenue that is directly attributable to marketing efforts. 


You will be responsible for: 

  • Building a top-tier marketing function, which is able to maximize output through automation and data-driven targeting. 

  • Develop Smartpricing’s SMB-marketing strategy, focused on individual properties and small hotel chains, leveraging the right tone of voice and approach to build out the top of our acquisition funnel. 

  • Improve our Lead Generation Engine

  • Drive Brand Marketing to build brand awareness and organic traffic. 

  • Ensure excellent external communication on relevant social media channels, press releases and other communications channels. 

  • People Leadership: take the lead of our team of 7 professionals today, nurturing their professional growth, and hiring new team members to build out capacity and skill sets within our marketing function. 

What Are We Looking For?
Your prior experience: 
  • You are a proven marketing leader with strong SMB SaaS experience. 

  • You have worked in small company environments, seen 10x scaling from c. 5m ARR 

  • Led, motivated and trained teams of 5 and up. 

  • Have proven experience building commercially driven marketing functions. 

  • Ideally, you have prior experience in the Accommodation/ Hotel industry.
