Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Technology Advisor to be based in our Arlington, VA office.  This excellent opportunity will manage medium to large scale broadband and fiber infrastructure projects for various clients. This position is open to a remote working situation. 

The Technology & Security Consultant will be responsible for the following items: 

Responsibilities

  • Project Management of Technology Solutions clients for medium to large sized broadband and fiber infrastructure projects
  • Develop high level budgets, drawings and specifications, conduct site visits, review technical documents for large fiber infrastructure projects
  • In depth knowledge of fiber route planning and permitting process
  • Coordinate design requirements with project team and owners
  • Maintain and monitor project schedule
  • Provide technical guidance and manage internal design team

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS in applicable field of study plus six (6) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Five (5) years of Fiber Routing, Design and Management experience
    • Project Management skills
    • Proficient with BICSI, EIA/TIA and associated codes and standards
    • Strong Computer skill and extensive experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
    • Attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality
    • Ability to prioritize and concurrently manage multiple projects
    • Maintains effective communication with project team members
    • Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships
