Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Magento Developer to join our growing eCommerce team. In this role, you will work closely with our lead eCommerce engineer, developers, and analysts to optimize and enhance our Magento eCommerce platform. Your expertise in Magento will be instrumental in advancing our platform’s capabilities, ensuring seamless customer experiences, and integrating Magento with other platforms, including custom APIs. This is a highly collaborative role, requiring deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Magento and related eCommerce technologies.

Responsibilities:

eCommerce Expertise:

  • Provide hands-on expertise with Adobe Commerce Cloud (Magento), Fastly CDN, Stripe, Celigo, and NetSuite.
  • Configure and set up products, including import/export functionality.
  • Manage multi-site setups within Magento 2.x, ensuring effective performance across platforms.
  • Develop and maintain custom Magento modules and payment gateway integrations.
  • Monitor system performance using tools like New Relic to ensure optimal eCommerce functionality.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the eCommerce platform, driving enhancements to meet business goals.

Software Development:

  • Utilize Git for cloud-based infrastructure and version control.
  • Develop Magento extensions and customizations, following best coding practices.
  • Participate in and contribute to pull request reviews with both senior and junior developers.
  • Upgrade, support, and maintain third-party integrations with Magento to ensure seamless operations.

Hands-On Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with nearshore and offshore developers in a team-oriented environment.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage timelines while maintaining clear communication with business stakeholders.
  • Participate in code review sessions, offering constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay up to date with the latest development tools and techniques, incorporating them into daily work.
  • Actively engage in day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and optimizing the eCommerce processes.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in software engineering with a focus on eCommerce development.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, CSS, MySQL, AWS, and related technologies.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Magento development and customization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a diverse development team.
  • Experience working with global developer teams.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Confluence and Jira.
