The Head of Operations is responsible for optimizing the effectiveness of operations through insightful people management and informed decisive decision making. This role will be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of all client commitments across multiple divisions, with an emphasis on exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible to ensure:

  • All Audit, Fire, Safety Consultancy, Adviceline, Implementation and Training services are delivered on time, in full to the right quality standards.
  • The well-being and high engagement of your team.
  • Develop, implement, and deliver operational strategy in line with company goals and objectives
  • Leadership, management and development of the team. We expect you to lead by example, evaluate performance, hold people to account and ensure they live the company core values.
  • Identify risk areas for service delivery such as attrition and make sure there is an appropriate recruitment and talent pool available for key roles.
  • Clear and adequate communication to your team (internal and external) of business updates e.g. company strategy, policy changes key success etc.
  • Represent the services delivery team at monthly and weekly internal meetings and report on progress of KPIs. Continually monitor and improve, where appropriate, the team performance and ensure departmental KPIs are met.
  • Provide the Leadership Team with strategic recommendations for the development of the Team and delivery of services.
  • Identification of opportunities to improvement of all elements of service delivery.
  • Support is provided to the Product Manager in the development of existing and new products and services.
  • Responsible for complaints and ensure they are comprehensively investigated and closed out.
  • Support the Sales and Account Management Teams and support in client meetings, where appropriate.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • A passion for people and a commitment to consistent development
  • 5+ years’ experience of leading a large multi disciplined team of professionals
  • Ability to manage and lead under pressure, plan workloads, and prioritise deadlines
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire a team
  • Strong attention to detail, project management, and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on solutions that consider the broader business impact.
  • Experience of managing field-based teams and maintaining strong lines of communication
