Essential Job Duties

As a Payroll Services Analyst specializing in Trust Accounting at BambooHR, you’ll be at the heart of managing the financial health of our Payroll Services customer funds. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our financial reporting is timely, accurate, and aligned with our mission of setting people free to do great work. By supporting daily operations like bank reconciliations and account analysis, you’ll help maintain the integrity of our financial processes while providing exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

You will 

  • Develop a deep understanding of our financial reporting systems and general ledger structure.
  •  Conduct daily bank reconciliations, ensuring transactions clear as expected and bank statements align with general ledger cash accounts.
  • Support the preparation of financial management reports, including AR/AP aging, uncleared cash, and outstanding check reports.
  • Assist with monthly general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accurate and balanced ledgers.
  • Research and respond to external audit requests, providing the support needed for smooth audits.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new procedures and tools that enhance department workflows.
  • Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff to foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Deliver outstanding support on internal and external customer inquiries, exemplifying BambooHR’s values.
  • Be a role model for BambooHR’s values by promoting a positive and collaborative environment.

What You Need to Get the Job Done 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in an accounting role, with a preference for experience in US payroll and payroll tax.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with accounting software and strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, both written and verbal.
