Senior Digital Producer (Weekends)
PEOPLE is looking for a senior digital producer with exceptional editing skills who is comfortable working in a high-volume newsroom. They will spend their weekend leading a small, but mighty team of digital producers who are building engaging and entertaining news content with the Gen Z audience in mind.
The senior digital producer will curate, assign, edit and publish content, while communicating with editorial leaders.
The right person will have a multimedia vision of how to present news to readers who are addicted to TikTok and Instagram, who want to be entertained and informed at the same time.
They will be steeped in the PEOPLE brand and how we tell compelling stories across 16 verticals that include Movies, TV, Music, Crime, Royals, Human Interest and more.
We’re looking for someone who is curious, enthusiastic and obsessed with pop culture. A problem solver, with a superb news instinct, they know how to guide more junior team members. At least 6 years experience writing for a news website in a high-velocity environment is required. Experience at a national news brand is preferred.
Location: Remote - US
Pay: $32 to $35 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
12pm to 8pm ET
Thursday to Monday
