Job description

Trilogy Federal provides financial management, information technology (IT) consulting, program management services, and strategic consulting to federal agencies. Trilogy Federal is looking for a motivated and independent Senior Program Analyst to support a large program office within the Veterans Health Administration. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, an interest in management consulting, and a desire to learn. The selected candidate will have an important role on a high-performing team focused on supporting complex communications across programs, risk and issue evaluation and analysis, and inquiry review across various systems.

Please note: This position is mostly remote but the selected candidate should be local to the Arlington, VA area to come into the Trilogy office 1 to 2 times per month. This position may require occasional travel in support of client needs and expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Review highly complex communications/media (e.g., telephone, letter, etc.) to determine the proper disposition of inquiries.
  • Review, evaluate, and conduct analyses of issues related to program segment healthcare administrative functions, medical claims payments, complaints, inquiries, and other items provided. Submissions originate primarily from incoming telephone calls via a routing system and also include a variety of sources.
  • Conduct reviews using automated systems (e.g., internal VA systems, third-party administrator portals) of medical claims files/payments, inquiries from contractors, Veterans, private-sector healthcare providers, and Agency medical center and field staff and provide responses.
  • Support meetings for assigned projects including drafting agendas, documenting meeting minutes, capturing action items, and creating slide decks.
  • Assist in creating and presenting executive-level briefings and presentations on project status, risks, issues, and strategies.
  • Support client in developing and maintaining project management artifacts to include, but not limited to: Process Flows, Action Item Logs, Risk Registers, Test Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Executive Summaries.
  • Capture spoken information in real-time in documents and spreadsheets (e.g., live edits to documents, capture of questions and answers during presentations, etc.).
  • Ad hoc and other strategic support tasks, as assigned by client and project manager.

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience.
  • Agility and ability to change course based on shifting plans, priorities, and timelines.
  • Experience making live edits to documents and other artifacts while screensharing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment focused on learning, opportunities for impact, and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Proficient in the following MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Availability to work from the Trilogy office in Arlington, VA 1-2 times per month.
  • The ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP certified.
  • VA or Federal experience.
  • Prior experience working in a healthcare organization (e.g., hospital, health system, health insurance company, military health etc.).
