This role can be fully remote in the UK and EU (with occasional travel to our London office) within +/- 2 hours of the GMT time zone. We are unfortunately not able to consider candidates located outside these locations and time zones at this stage. 

  

What you will be doing 

You will play be driving the performance and success of one of our delivery teams. You will be responsible for managing developers of various levels, guiding them towards achieving both strategic objectives and operational excellence. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, leadership skills, and a passion for mentoring and supporting team members. 

 

  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of projects. 
  • Team Performance: Own the performance of your team, ensuring that they consistently meet commitments, and deliver to high standards of quality, reliability and performance. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the tech team, helping to resolve complex technical challenges and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. 

What we are looking for 

At a “Lead” level at Semble, we will expect you to own the performance of your team, while possibly still owning some operational responsibilities on a specific scope of expertise. You will need to cascade strategy and operational directions to your team and to support their professional growth. 

 

For this role specifically, we would like you to have: 

  • Strong technical background with expertise in software development methodologies, tools, and technologies. Desirable technology includes Typescript, React, Node, MongoDb and AWS. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. 
  • Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum. 
  • Experience working in a cross-functional and collaborative environment, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation. 
  • Proficiency in the French language (nice-to-have, not mandatory).
