What you’ll be doing:
- Processing purchase invoices in the accounting system (Sage 200).
- Ensuring 3-way matching electronically of purchase orders, goods receipt notes and purchase invoices.
- Ensuring accuracy of PO/invoice coding/matching/authorisation.
- Validating outstanding POs/invoice queries.
- Supplier Statement reconciliations.
- Pro-actively resolving invoice variances/queries with suppliers and operations.
- Coding non-PO invoices and ensuring all invoices are duly authorised.
- Performing regular housekeeping checks and ensure ledgers are tidy.
- Dealing with auditor requests.
- Working to meet deadlines in accordance with month-end closedown timetable.
- Answering telephone calls, redirecting calls and taking messages.
- Assisting visitors to the business, ensuring they follow correct procedures for signing in.
About you:
- You’ll have excellent communication skills.
- You’ll be able to work to tight deadlines.
- You’ll be proficient in Microsoft packages.
- Having previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role would be advantageous.
- Having knowledge of SAGE systems would be helpful, however training will be provided.
- A qualification in administration and/or accounts would be desirable.
