Responsibilities

Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking to add a Manager of Application Operations to the team. The successful candidate for this role will serve as the Manager of our Applications Operations team

and will provide leadership to a team of Application Systems Administrators responsible for the

implementation and maintenance of our critical business applications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide day-to-day guidance to our Application Systems Administrators, keeping them aligned with business objectives and needs.
Mentor team members to grow their capabilities.
Partner with business leaders to understand their needs and technology struggles as they pertain to applications managed by this team.
Set and maintain a culture of continuous improvement for our application stacks.
Evaluate application requirements and provide architectural guidance to team members.
Collaborate closely with adjacent IT teams that provide services for the team and/or utilize application components.
Perform hiring and employee evaluation duties.
Assist with staffing needs decisions such as determining headcount and skillsets to optimally provide quality service based on business needs.
Leads project breakdowns and provides accurate level of effort and delivery time estimates.
Oversee that change is being conducted in a manner that protects business from being interrupted by the change.
Ensures that both operational and project work are being worked in a best-practice and appropriately prioritized manner.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in a technical field or evidence of exceptional ability.
Must possess a passion for technology.
10+ years experience in IT Operations roles.
Senior level architecture, automation and troubleshooting skills.
Strong ability to stay organized and keep the team organized.
Demonstrated experience driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Deep understanding of IT best practices.
Experience mentoring junior team members.
Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate to non-IT staff.
Must possess a high degree of analytical thinking.
Strong team collaboration skills.
