Summary

This role will provide support and learn from Simplot’s team of Agronomy Sales Enablement Advisors in one of three business units across the U.S.  Agronomy Sales Enablement interns will aid the Agronomy Sales Enablement team in their efforts to provide agronomic knowledge, problem solving and training to our crop advisors and growers. The below is intended to describe the general requirements, it is not exhaustive statement of essential functions, responsibilities, or requirements. 

What you leave with:

  • Ability to address and dissect field/product issues and communicate next steps
  • Ability to understand and develop recommendations from soil and tissue tests
  • Ability to work independently and in remote team settings to accomplish unified goals
  • Experience in developing commercial product launches
  • Product knowledge and use for both nutritional, pesticide, and seed products
  • Learn Multiple aspects of the retail business including Digital, Product Management and Sales experiences 
Key Responsibilities

   

Work collaboratively across assigned business unit with Agronomy Sales Enablement members to:

  • Manage, coordinate, and implement commercial demonstrations
  • Collect data from MAP program plots
  • Utilize photography to develop library of visual observations
  • Document product performance via data collection from MAP program plots
  • Help identify and solve agronomic issues for crop advisors and growers
  • Attend and participate in regional field days and/or training events
  • Assist in PEAK Program training
  • Coordinate with ASE personnel within the business unit and track progress weekly
  • Act as Project leader for a development product to report on at intern termination
Typical Education
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, Crop Science or other related major
Relevant Experience
  • Agriculture background a plus, but not required
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Highly motivated and detail oriented
  • Experienced with computers, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective communicator
Required Certifications
  • Valid Driver's License
Other Information
  • Must be willing and able to work Ag Industry hours:  early days/late evening, overtime and weekends as seasonal needs demand
  • Duration:  Spring/Summer 2025, possibility of extending into the Fall
