Job Description:

  • Input patient information, medical records, and clinical data accurately into electronic health record (EHR) systems or databases.
  • Ensure that all entries are up-to-date and reflective of current patient information.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of entered data by cross-checking against source documents.
  • Correct any errors or discrepancies promptly to maintain data integrity.
  • Understand and adhere to all HIPAA regulations regarding the handling of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Ensure that patient data is only accessed and shared with authorized personnel.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient information and clinical records.
  • Implement security measures, such as password protection and data encryption, to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Organize, store, and retrieve clinical documents in a manner that supports compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that electronic records are properly managed.
  • Generate reports as needed, summarizing patient data for clinical reviews and audits.
  • Provide timely updates to supervisors on data entry progress and any compliance-related issues.
  • Work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and administrative staff to gather necessary data for patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with the team regarding any data-related concerns or needs.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and technology affecting clinical data entry.
  • Conduct regular audits of entered data to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance data accuracy and processing efficiency.
  • Address and resolve data entry issues promptly, escalating concerns to supervisors when necessary.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance data entry workflows while maintaining compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Consultancy basis minimum of 6 months consultancy contract (subject for renewal)
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and maintain accuracy.
  • Typing Skills: Proficiency in typing speed and accuracy.
  • Organizational Skills: Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
