Senior AWS Data Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Delivery: Lead the design and implementation of data acquisition, storage, and transformation processes, ensuring data quality, integrity, and seamless integration of large-scale datasets.
  
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and articulate the impact on business goals.
  
• Technology Leadership: Serve as the technical lead on AWS data technologies, providing guidance to project teams and ensuring alignment with AWS best practices.
  
• Project Oversight: Plan, execute, and deliver data solutions that align with client objectives, addressing risks and blockers as they arise.
  
• Best Practices: Establish and maintain best practices for data solution architecture and ensure adherence to Agile methodology and Scrum frameworks.
  
• Team Development: Mentor and coach team members, fostering innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth within the data engineering team.
  
• Communication & Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders, translating complex data concepts into understandable insights.
  
• Support Practice Growth: Participate in recruiting, sales activities, and marketing initiatives, such as writing thought leadership content and contributing to industry events.
  

Requirements

• Expert Data Knowledge: Deep expertise in data architecture, including data lakes, data governance, and security.
  
• AWS Expertise: Strong knowledge of AWS data technologies and cloud-based data architectures, including experience in migrating data platforms from on-prem to AWS.
  
• Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead multi-workstream data engagements in enterprise settings and manage technical teams effectively.
  
• Technical Skills: Expertise in SQL, Python, Spark/Scala, AWS infrastructure, and CI/CD frameworks. Knowledge of AI tools like Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker is a plus.
  
• Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. Advanced degrees and AWS certifications are a bonus.
