VIQ Solutions is at the forefront of providing transcription services as legal and judicial agencies move towards technology-driven workflows. We are looking for experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with a proven background in transcribing depositions and hearings. This role offers a 100% remote opportunity for Independent Contractors.

The transcription work includes depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings, which requires an intense attention to detail, familiarity with legal terminology, and excellent grammar. You will be responsible for processing audio recordings while strictly adhering to style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.

As an independent contractor, you can set your own schedule while receiving support from our in-office team when needed. We provide work around the clock, encouraging those with weekend availability to apply.

Skills Requirements

Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
Excellent listening skills.
Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
Ability to collaborate remotely.
Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy.
Capability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive).
Ability to pass a background check.
Familiarity with legal terminology.
Court reporting students will also be considered.
Currently, this opportunity is not open to residents of Massachusetts or California.
