Appian Software Developer - Remote

Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking an Appian Developer to help build cool applications for various government and commercial customers. BigBear.ai is developing applications that work with the Artificial Intelligence products. This developer role will be creating workflow applications that integrate with AI and ML technologies using Appian’s latest features like DataFabric, AI, Process HQ, etc.

This position will be fully remote and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD TS/SCI clearance.

What You Will Do

• Work with an Agile team to deliver a solution using a combination of Appian features like Data Fabric, integrations, interfaces, process models, CDTs, expression rules, reports, etc.
• Work closely with Business Analysts to design conceptual workflows and related actions to support the customer’s vision within the solution.
• Provide guidance to product owner and Business Analysts regarding the implementation complexity of their designs to aid the customer in deciding which approach to pursue from a cost/benefit perspective.
• Demonstrate periodically to the team during Daily Stand-Ups features as you complete them.
• Participate in all Agile-based ceremonies, to include assisting the team with story estimation.
• Execute unit tests and integration tests against your changes.
• Assist other Appian developers with their tasks from a peer programming perspective, including reviewing their SAIL code and implementation approach.
• Build the DevOps pipeline to promote Appian objects/packages.
• Ensure project deliverables meet team/customer quality standards, as well as functional/non-functional requirements.
• Support the remediation of issues that arise in non-development environments, including production.
  
  

What You Need To Have

• BS degree in relevant technical or scientific field.
• Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.
• 1-3 years of Appian software development experience.
• A fundamental understanding of web development concepts.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and an ability to follow-up in a timely manner.
• The ability to turn written and verbal requirements into process flows and interfaces
  
  

What We'd Like You To Have

• Relevant Appian technical knowledge.
• Prior experience with software development, including building JavaScript, C#, and/or Java/J2EE-based applications.
• Prior experience working with an Agile team.
• Appian Certified Associate Developer certificate or higher.
