Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Operational Risk Oversight to join our dynamic Commercial Bank team in a remote capacity across various locations in the United States. This pivotal role involves leading a dedicated team tasked with the comprehensive oversight of operational risk associated with Commercial Bank activities. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our risk management framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an independent oversight framework for Commercial Bank operations, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry benchmarks.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of core operational risk policies and governance processes to guarantee thorough risk identification, assessment, and management.
  • Proactively challenge operational risk issues, ensuring timely escalation of emerging risks that exceed the approved risk appetite.
  • Keep abreast of market trends to identify significant or emerging risks, participating in industry forums to enhance our operational risk practices.
  • Deliver tailored risk intelligence and insights to inform senior management and Board-level reporting.
  • Cultivate robust partnerships with industry stakeholders, governmental bodies, and risk management communities.
  • Facilitate collaboration across various organizational levels to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Manage performance, training, and development activities for assigned team members, fostering a culture of professional growth.
  • Enhance risk reporting capabilities through the development and implementation of innovative tools and processes.

  • Alternatively, a High School Diploma/GED with at least ten years of experience in Enterprise or Operational Risk or Consulting, also including leadership responsibilities.
