Job Overview

Are you a skilled Business Analyst seeking to make a substantial impact in a remote setting? We are looking for a dedicated Senior Advisor to play a pivotal role in supporting vital projects, particularly focused on nuclear security and environmental remediation within the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as a Senior Advisor, you will provide strategic insights and leadership to senior management, with responsibilities that include:

  • Steering the development, execution, and management of comprehensive project controls and financial strategies.
  • Offering expert guidance to optimize planning, scheduling, financial analysis, and cost control for intricate projects.
  • Formulating and overseeing project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules in accordance with DOE/NNSA guidelines.
  • Ensuring compliance with DOE mandates while tracking productivity improvement objectives.
  • Innovating project baseline plans, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures, and expenditure plans.
  • Advising on Site Business systems to identify and implement enhancements.
  • Creating and conducting training sessions on Project Controls and Financial Systems.
  • Preparing and delivering financial and project-related presentations to senior management.
  • Leading project cost reviews and schedule meetings while providing insights on complex multi-project analyses.
  • Acting as the principal contact with DOE-SR and DOE-HQ for technical and financial initiatives.
  • Communicating project statuses, changes, and alternative solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field with 12 years of experience, OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of experience, OR
  • An Associate’s degree with 17 years of experience, OR
  • A High school diploma with 20 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • The ability to thrive within a diverse work environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency with automated accounting, cost management, scheduling, and estimating systems.
  • Practical experience with Site Business systems and strong computer skills.
