Job Overview

As a member of our Leveraged Finance & Sponsor Coverage team, you will be instrumental in overseeing portfolio management, conducting due diligence, underwriting, and executing critical debt transactions. Your role will also encompass private equity oversight, ensuring our clients receive exceptional support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwriting:
    • Spearhead the debt underwriting process, including comprehensive due diligence and the formulation of credit memos for internal endorsement.
    • Negotiate terms and manage the loan closing process for both new platforms and follow-on transactions.
    • Conduct rigorous evaluations of Company/Sponsor-prepared diligence materials, historical financial statements, management presentations, and CIMs.
    • Review third-party documentation, assist associates in creating diligence request lists, and provide critical analysis to senior leadership.
    • Ensure the precision of detailed financial models prepared by associates, while maintaining a thorough understanding of financial projections, including potential downside scenarios.
    • Compile and present loan approval packages to the loan committee.
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Act as the primary liaison for an assigned portfolio, delivering continuous client support.
    • Oversee the timely and precise reporting and fulfillment of all internal portfolio management requirements and ad-hoc analyses.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs.
    • Manage amendments and M&A processes for existing portfolio companies, while conducting research and maintaining portfolio analytics.
  • External Engagement:
    • Participate in discussions with Sponsors and sustain active communication with management teams at portfolio companies.
Required Skills

Qualifications

  • Basic: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in leveraged finance, investment banking, or commercial finance; or a high school diploma/GED coupled with 8 years of equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: Strong credit analysis and accounting proficiency; MBA preferred but not obligatory; completion of a formal credit training program is advantageous; experience with Healthcare Services and Healthcare IT clients is beneficial.

Compensation And Benefits

The anticipated base salary for this role typically ranges from \(131,840 to \)197,760 annually, contingent on experience. A competitive benefits package is also provided.
