Trusted by over 25% of the Fortune 100, AppOmni specializes in securing diverse SaaS environments.

About the role

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional programs while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and driving operational excellence. In this role, you will help teams become more consistent in their practices by providing guardrails, guidelines, and connecting the dots across teams and functions. You will thrive in fast-paced, lean development environments where ambiguity is the norm, providing clarity through effective communication and problem-solving. You will enable data-driven decision-making, helping Product Managers (PMs) and Engineering Managers (EMs) track, measure, and assess performance to guide their strategies.

What you'll do

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional programs ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Plan, track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to engineering leadership and project stakeholders, and engage and energize the project teams to achieve aggressive goals.
  • Drive process improvements within engineering to build better faster so the teams are more effective and can deliver with higher velocity because of your impact.
  • Ensure we’re capturing and acting on the right data regarding our operations and technical health.
  • Influence and collaborate across organizations including engineering, product, design, security, compliance, customer support, and go-to-market to effectively build commitment with delivery teams, negotiate competing requirements, ensure alignment and program progress, and improve processes.

Maintain clear, consistent, and transparent communication with all stakeholders to ensure everyone is informed and aligned on priorities and progress.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, project management, or a similar role within a technology organization.
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional engineering projects from inception to completion in a fast-paced, lean development environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clarity in ambiguous situations and enable teams to work more effectively through guidelines and best practices.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with project and program management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Strong familiarity with Scrum or Agile frameworks is a must.
  • Experience defining, tracking, and reporting on KPIs and metrics to guide decision-making for PMs and EMs.
  • Exceptional collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to foster strong cross-functional relationships and ensure alignment across multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Technical fluency and the ability to build trust and credibility with engineering teams.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
