Psychiatric Crisis Nurse (LPN/RN) - $1,000 Sign-On Bonus at Compass Health Network

In response to critical service needs within the communities we serve, we are excited to offer a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Join our team as an LPN/RN at our Crisis Center Stabilization Center, where you will provide both direct and indirect patient care in a psychiatric environment. Your role will be vital in maintaining the standards of professional nursing practice and coordinating comprehensive care for individuals experiencing behavioral crises.

You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient and family education, ensuring quality and compassionate care across all services.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care including health assessments, pain assessments, and daily care of individuals at the Crisis Stabilization Center.
• Administer medications, manage the medication administration record (MAR), and count controlled substances.
• Provide patient education related to physical health and medications.
• Coordinate care with staff, residents, families, physicians, psychiatrists, hospitals, and pharmacies.
• Report and document changes in patients’ behavior, attitude, and physical conditions.
• Assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Educate new employees on procedures and protocols.
• Participate in team and leadership meetings as assigned.
• Maintain effective verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate maturity in handling multiple stressors and challenging situations while providing direct patient care to adults.
• Participate in mandatory overtime as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Practical Nursing Certificate or an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• A minimum of one year of psychiatric experience; hospital or acute care experience preferred.
• Valid LPN or RN licensure in Missouri required.
