Role overview:

 

SimpliGov is expanding its sales team and is looking for a MM/SMB Account Executive for the South East territory with a focus on Georgia. This role is vital for driving digital transformation within the public sector through our innovative platform. We are seeking individuals to drive SimpliGov's growth in key regional markets, focusing on local and municipal government. This role will help strengthen our regional presence and drive sales through a direct-contributor role, representing SimpliGov at local industry events, and building local partner networks.


Responsibilities:

  • Source and close new business to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Build a strong understanding of the SimpliGov platform and its use cases, and their place in the industry.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospect for new customers, host discovery calls and demos, create proposals, and close deals.
  • Aggressively prospect through email, phone, and LinkedIn outreach.
  • Work closely with the business development team to bolster outreach in territory.
  • Track customer information, forecasts, and reports using Salesforce.
  • Build and maintain prospect and customer list using strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads.
  • Participate in industry events in territory.


Qualifications:

  • At least 2-3 years of sales experience in a quota-carrying capacity
  • SaaS and GovTech experience a plus
  • Highly effective communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, nurture relationships, and strong presentation skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Self-starting and self-motivated
  • Possess a hunter-sales mentality with a strong desire to be successful
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Willingness to travel into territory 25% of the time

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $100,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
