Job Summary:

As a Senior Accountant / Client Manager, you will lead our accounting team in providing comprehensive financial services to our clients. You will oversee financial reporting, tax compliance, and strategic business planning and you will help manage client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role involves a blend of client interaction and accounting tasks. Some travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and effective collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their accounting needs are met, and providing strategic financial advice.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely submission.
  • Manage tax preparation, planning, and compliance activities, staying up to date with the latest regulations to ensure the firm's adherence to tax laws.
  • Track and report on team performance metrics, ensuring targets are met and operational efficiency is maximized.

Skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on Australian taxation across all entity types.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and MS Office.
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills.
