Reporting to the Tax Manager, the Senior Tax Analyst is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join a leading company in the Canadian construction industry.

This position offers a hybrid work environment, balancing remote flexibility with in-office collaboration at our Mississauga head office (Onsite 3 days a week).

What You Will Be Working On

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions.

  • Oversee annual income tax returns and manage income tax installment schedules and true-ups.

  • Review notices of assessment or reassessment.

  • Support federal and provincial income tax audits by preparing responses to inquiries.

  • Collaborate on the preparation of T106 and T1134 information returns.

  • Liaise with external auditors for consolidated year-end provision calculations and related disclosures.

  • Identify and implement process improvements, focusing on automation and streamlining tax operations.

  • Document significant tax accounting matters, internal controls, and related policies.

  • Prepare consolidated forecasts for income tax expenses, cash taxes, and effective income tax rates to support internal and external reporting.

  • Assist with various ad-hoc tax-related matters.

What We Are Looking For

  • CPA designation with 1+ years of Canadian income tax experience (U.S./international tax exposure is an asset)

  • Enrollment or partial completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Course is highly preferred

  • Strong technical skills, particularly in Excel and TaxPrep (preferable)

  • A proactive mindset with a desire to streamline and automate tax processes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with tax, finance teams, and external auditors

  • A passion for learning and adapting to tax regulations beyond Canada

  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment.

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
