Position Description:  Provides technical expertise in analysis, design, and implementation for the IT Department. Applies knowledge of programming practices, procedures and applications to diagnose potential repairs and upgrades for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Assists the System Administrator and ERP Administrator, as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots issues to implement repairs, as well as upgrading PCs and peripherals.

  • Develops and maintains applications and software on the Internet and Intranet websites.

  • Provides technical assistance in hardware and software purchases and implementation.

  • Sets up and installs workstations, printers, and peripherals, configuring for the networks as appropriate.

  • Applies the principles and techniques of computer programming to specific organizational needs and problems.

  • Responsible for escalations from the Service Desk on hardware and software technical issues to end-users in an enterprise networked environment.

  • Sets up and monitors application logs, writing clear and concise documentation.

  • Ensures compliance with availability and performance standards.

  • Responsible for the planning, implementation and maintenance of IT security systems.

  • Provides support of Citrix, Active Directory, O365, D365 and ERP system.

  • Trains and guides end-users and trainees about the network and applications.

  • Assists the System Administrator and ERP Administrator, as needed.

  • Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.  

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

  • 1-2 years’ experience working as an IT Analyst.

  • Extensive knowledge of PC hardware and software.

  • Knowledge of shell scripting languages.

  • Experience in a help desk role.

  • Experience with Internet and web technologies.

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in partnership with others.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Valid drivers' license and clean MVR.

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.

  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.

  • Ability to obtain or currently retains a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
