The Director, Total Rewards, Compensation will work closely with the VP, Global Total Rewards to develop compensation strategies and programs, and to up-level current processes and communication strategies. You will fully immerse yourself in structured problem solving and data analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized insights and recommendations. eHealth’s ideal candidate will have a curious mind, a strong analytical background, the capacity to work at high speed with a high-caliber team and a passion to build world-changing innovations. 
 
What You'll Do:
  

  • Work closely with leadership to align on and be responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of new and existing compensation plans. 

  • Review and maintain the company’s job architecture (including establishing career ladders, career paths and compensation pay levels) and alignment to market competitiveness of our compensation levels and programs. 

  • Educate managers and employees on the company compensation philosophy and process to raise awareness and transparency 

  • Lead the compensation review cycles (including merit, bonus, equity, commissions) and the related employee and manager communications (Workday module) 

  • Partner with Recruiting on new hire compensation best practices and offer development 

  • Support sales compensation team and incentive design process through execution, including modeling, project planning, communicating, and training 

  • Oversee the communication process of Total Rewards/EVP education and awareness  

  • Bring market best practices into continuously improving employee rewards and recognition practices within eHealth 

  • Support preparation of Compensation Committee materials and CD&A/Proxy 

  • Demonstrate eHealth’s values in your behaviors, practices, and decisions.

 

Basic Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Finance, Statistics, Business, Psychology, or a related field.    

  • 8+ years of direct, relevant experience in compensation, sales compensation and/or benefits analysis, administration, design, and/or consulting. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical skillset with excellent attention to details 

  • Experience leading a small team and partnering across functions  

  • Comfort working with diverse groups of internal clients, including employees and managers at all levels.  

  • Solid communication and presentation skills.   

  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and HRIS (preferably Workday). 

  • High-level of integrity along with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
