About the role

Contribute to the objectives of the company and its teams, by translating these objectives into technological R&D tasks with measurable outcomes. Participate in experiments that result in business knowledge about customers' problems and deliver high-quality, high-impact solutions in the form of digital products and features.

Responsibilities

• Translate business goals into concrete, time-bounded tasks with measurable results
• Design, implement, and unit test both frontend and backend application code.
• Participate in the full SDLC (Agile), including meetings, iterative development, estimations, and design sessions.
• Work with business analysts to understand and implement complex business functionality while delivering project assignments on time.
• Stay current with the newest online technologies; research new technologies and make recommendations on implementations.
• Work with other developers to review stories and specifications and ensure that the teams are meeting the objectives of the business while maintaining technical and architectural standards.
• Run experiments and implement features that drive user growth
• Supervise Junior and Mid-Level Software Engineers

Requirements

Technical Skills

• +5 years of experience in Python/Django
• +5 years of experience in building, deploying, and scaling real-world backend applications
• Advanced skills in Databases, especially SQL and Postgres
• Advanced skills in DevOps and security fundamentals

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or other infra-as-code tools.
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Javascript / Typescript / Node
