Job Description

The Sr Tax Accountant will assist with tax research, tax consulting and income tax compliance required of the company. Prepares corporate income tax returns including related workpapers and analysis. Coordinates gathering of data and analysis to support preparation of quarterly tax provisions and estimated tax payments and assists with such preparation. Assures that sales & use and property tax returns and payments are filed in a timely and accurate manner. Assists with income tax audits and assists with sales & use tax and property tax audits.

  • Prepares all aspects of federal and state income tax compliance, M-1/M-3 adjustments, and state income apportionment. Executes electronic filing of returns.

  • Assists with preparation and analysis of or may prepare corporate income tax provisions, deferred taxes, estimated taxes and forecasts. 

  • Liaison with finance, IS, and contracting groups for proper transaction reporting for sales & use tax, property tax and fixed assets.

  • Consults with payroll and human resources groups on payroll tax issues.

  • Assists with income tax audits and sales & use tax and property tax audits.

  • Provides technical tax guidance, training and staff development to various areas of the enterprise.

Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

  • 5+ years of experience in related field.

  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Salary Range
