Team Description
  • Billing Data Mediation Team is seeking a talented Software Engineering Manager to support the key Growth initiatives, technology transformation projects at Sabre. This position will be responsible to participate in user sessions, understand business needs, translate company goals to the teams efficiently, guide/mentor the team, conduct timely performance reviews. This person will report to the Billing Data Mediation Dev Sr Manager.

    Team/ Project description……

    At Sabre, we’re passionate about building software that solves problems. In this role you will manage a team supporting Convergent Mediation, BOBJ, BODS, HANA, GCP applications. In this role you will monitor snow requests/projects requested by Sabre users in above mentioned applications and monitor them for successful completion.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in discussions with business leads, gather and understand the requirements
  • Collaborate and coordinate with cross functional teams to implement new billing models
  • Translate the business needs into proper goals within the team and set reasonable timelines
  • Demonstrate creative, strategic thinking and problem solving; able to exercise independent judgment in a highly complex environment
  • Encourage high coding standards, using best practices and high quality
  • Regularly interacts with subordinate supervisors, architects, product managers, HR, on matters concerning projects, or team performance.
  • Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship
  • Provides technical mentorship and cultural/competency-based guidance to teams
  • Provides larger business/product context. Mentors on Convergent Mediation application
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills with technical and non-technical clients
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and mentor the team members
  • Ability to work with Project Managers, team leads to provide KPI reports to supervisors on a regular cadence.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • 8 or more years of experience leading a successful team
  • Experience in handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience in SaaS applications such as JIRA, Service Now Kanban, Rally
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills are an absolute must
  • Proven track record of willingness and interest in learning new tools and technologies is necessary
  • 2-3 years of experience in designing, developing and deploying workflows in SAP Convergent Mediation
  • Solid understanding of BRIM architecture including Convergent Charging, Convergent Invoicing, Billing and Revenue Innovation Management, Subscription Order Management
  • 5 or more years of experience in database design, scripting
  • Good understanding in any Cloud technologies such as AWS/GCP etc
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
