Scopely is looking for a Technical Procurement Manager to join our IT/Ops team in Canada on a remote basis.

What You Will Do
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Procurement Manager to join our CloudOps team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of hardware and software used to build games and services, both internally and for our millions of players worldwide. In this role, you will be responsible for all stages of TechOps procurement, from coordinating trials/POCs to commercial negotiations to contract review and management.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors to ensure compliance with Scopely’s technical specifications, SLAs, delivery timelines, and other terms.
  • Supervise contract performance and promptly address any issues, discrepancies, or overages.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement contracts and renewals.
  • Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses to ensure all contracts provide positive ROI or value.
  • Analyze the total cost of ownership, including purchase price, maintenance, operation, and other costs.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising on stakeholder expectations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for game teams to conduct POC’s with vendors.
  • Identify, coordinate, and help assess vendors based on their ability to meet technical specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure reliabilityand responsiveness and advocate for Scopely’s needs.
  • Serve as the point of contact between game teams and Legal, Finance, and Security departments.
  • Collaborate with the legal department to ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements.
  • Work closely with the finance department to manage budgets, forecast expenditures, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and security requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical procurement, contract management, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of technical specifications and procurement processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
