Purpose of the role
Our PHP Developers sit within our Product Engineering team specifically focussed on our e-Commerce capabilities, configuring and developing features, functionality and enhancements that underpins many of our proprietary SaaS products
- Deliver high-quality projects on a consistent basis with good time management.
- Prepare and produce releases of software components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle Embrace and represent a culture of Collaboration, Accountability, Pioneering and Entrepreneurialism
- Ensure Test Case Code Coverage and accountability.
- Fully understand the user stories associated with the development deliverable to contextualize the enhancement or customization.
- Write clear technical documentation.
- Understand the wider SaaS ecosystem within Indicia Worldwide across both proprietary and partner technology to enhance development deliverables.
Skills, knowledge, experience and exposure
- Hands-on experience with core PHP or any PHP framework.
- Having worked on an ecommerce application is good to have.
- Sound knowledge & understanding of OOPS concepts.
- Good Understanding of software design principles and patterns is desirable.
- Good problem-solving skills with “Attention to detail”
- Some experience with integrating 3rd Party API(s), Payment Gateway(s) etc.
- Good experience with MySQL (MongoDB also good to have)
- Basic knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Experience in working with responsive UI frameworks like Bootstrap, tailwind, less.
- Experience in Unit testing and work with Testers to address issues.
- Should be curious about new technologies & excited to find ways to implement them.
- Good communication skills & Ability to meet timelines.
- Comfortable with working on Windows & Linux based environments simultaneously.

- Back-End:
- Core PHP
- CodeIgniter
- Any PHP Framework
- Database:
- MySQL
- MongoDB -- “good to have”.
The mindset to navigate the role
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Developer or similar role across a range of technologies
- Excellent English written and verbal is essential.
- Understanding of software design principles and patterns. (desirable)

Role Requirements
- We can be flexible with working arrangements and provide a hybrid-working if required on 3-2 day basis respectively or full time remote working dependent on role.
