What you'll be doing:
  • Work with internal and third-party data sources to create reports using ad hoc SQL, reporting views, and Looker's business intelligence platform.
  • Develop reporting to monitor various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) over time and maintain and document these solutions to drive long-term business value.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor daily and intra-day data quality checks to ensure the health of the production system and data warehouse reporting.
  • Develop strategies for monetization of the company data assets.
  • Define and implement a data governance strategy to ensure the quality and accuracy of reporting across the organization. 
  • Work cross-functionally with finance, product, marketing, and operations to complete ad hoc analysis to help management and other teams understand and interpret business results and outcomes.
  • Manage, onboard, coach, and mentor junior BI resources, as needed.
  • Communicate complex information to a broad range of audiences and act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance/knowledge-sharing with others when needed.
  • Make an impact across your team and deliver results through your ability to consider multiple perspectives, measure success effectively, and execute complex project plans.
  • Take ownership of projects and with a keen eye to anticipate next steps, creatively problem-solve, maintaining strong cross-functional relationships along the way.
  • Build credibility through meeting your individual goals as well as promoting trust, openness and respectful discussions within the team.

  • What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a quantitative discipline (e.g., mathematics, statistics, operations research, quantitative finance, physics, engineering, computer science).
  • 5+ years relevant experience in a BI capacity with experience coaching and managing junior resources
  • Proficiency in writing concise and performant SQL queries. Familiarity with other database constructs such as views, materialized views, indices, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience with at least one BI tool are required (such as, Tableau, DOMO, Power BI or QlikView – experience with Looker is a plus.
  • Experience with dashboard creation and with backend data engineering and administration.
  • Outstanding knowledge of business and drivers of revenue and cost for companies are key critical to your success.  Work experience in the consumer lending industry is a plus but not required.
