Description

As legal and judicial agencies transition to a technology-driven workflow, you will play a crucial role in providing transcription services. This position is for experienced legal/judicial contractors who have significant experience transcribing depositions and hearings. This is a 100% remote opportunity for Independent Contractors.

The content to be transcribed includes depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. Keen attention to detail is essential, alongside familiarity with legal terminology and excellent grammatical skills. In this role, you will process audio recordings while adhering strictly to style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.

As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule and receive support from a dedicated in-office team when needed. Work is available 24/7/365, accommodating any timetable, and those with weekend availability are particularly encouraged to apply.

Skills Requirements

Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
Excellent listening skills.
Strong adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
Ability to collaborate remotely.
Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy.
Ability to process extreme audio/text content (considerable content may be offensive).
Background check clearance required.
Familiarity with legal terminology.
