Position: German-Speaking Compliance Officer
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Company: Global Recruitment Company (500 employees, offices in the UK, Germany, and the US)
UK Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM 

About the Company:
Our client is a global recruitment company specializing in various sectors, predominantly in the tech industry. With a strong operational base in the UK and a growing presence in Germany and the US, the company is looking to expand its compliance team by hiring a German-speaking Compliance Officer based in Cape Town.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a German-speaking Compliance Officer to join our client’s compliance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all contractors placed with clients across the UK and Germany are fully compliant with legal and company standards. The role will involve managing and processing a high volume of paperwork, ensuring legal documents are properly countersigned, and reviewing terms of business agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the issuance of compliance documentation for contractors placed on 3, 6, and 12-month assignments.
  • Ensure contractors are fully compliant with company standards and legal regulations.
  • Review and manage legal documentation, including checking and confirming terms of business agreements.
  • Liaise with contractors and clients to ensure that all necessary paperwork is correctly signed and submitted on time.
  • Maintain accurate records using spreadsheets and CRM systems.
  • Coordinate closely with the recruitment team to ensure smooth onboarding and compliance processes.


Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar compliance role, ideally within a recruitment company.
  • Strong understanding of legal processes related to contractor placements and business terms.
  • Experience in managing and processing high volumes of paperwork and ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Familiarity with using spreadsheets and CRM systems for tracking and documentation.
  • Confidence in communicating and liaising with contractors, clients, and internal teams.

  • Key Requirements:

    • Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken)
    • Location: Must be Cape Town-based.
    • Ability to work in line with UK time zones- 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Confident, proactive, and able to work independently when required
    • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure compliance
