Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to manage accounting activities for a diverse range of clients. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily finance operations and involves close collaboration with the Accounting Director of your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial operations and accounting activities for assigned clients.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and review monthly reports and financial statements for clients.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to meet all deadlines.
  • Handle yearly audits and 990 processes for assigned clients.
  • Create new General Ledger (GL) accounts and provide support for related queries.
  • Review and approve payments and transactions as required.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries in shared Finance email inboxes for assigned clients.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.

Additional Duties

  • Contribute to special projects as assigned.
  • Provide occasional assistance or coverage in Accounts Payable and Payroll as needed.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Eager to learn new systems and skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Background in accounting, finance, or a related field is essential.
  • Experience with nonprofit accounting is a plus.
  • CPA designation is highly preferred.
