Job description

As an Area Manager you will be responsible for the overall management of a group of St John Ambulance units. You will support Unit Managers as they run their units, ensuring they have the support they need run units that fulfill our aims.

Working alongside your functional colleagues and other peers, you will ensure a positive and rewarding volunteer experience and drive the district forward to make a greater impact in your local community and beyond.

What would you be responsible for? - Building a positive volunteering culture by engaging, motivating, and supporting volunteers in your area - Working actively as a member of the District Leadership team to develop and deliver the District Plan Recruiting, managing, and developing a team of Unit Managers to run effective units engaged in a variety of activities - Working with community stakeholders and external partners to build community resilience Liaising with functional colleagues to support delivery and build relationship with Unit Leadership Teams
