What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Head of Partnerships to work on the Sales & Marketing team. This position is a crucial role that drives growth and expands our agency's reach through strategic partnerships within the Shopify+ ecosystem. The preferred candidate will be a dynamic professional who can develop and execute partnership strategies, source partner-originated leads, and manage all aspects of partnership-related activities.

Ultimately, you should have a deep understanding of the Shopify+ platform, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to align partnerships with our agency's business objectives.


Day to day responsibilities

Partnership Management (70%)

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy aligned with the agency's goals
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new strategic partners in the Shopify+ ecosystem
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing partners to drive mutual value
  • Source and nurture partner-originated leads, ensuring a steady pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Create and implement partner enablement programs, including training, resources, and support
  • Track and report on partnership performance metrics, continuously optimizing for growth
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop co-marketing initiatives and joint value propositions
Sales Support and Business Development (30%)
  • Assist the sales team during discovery calls
  • Support sales operations by contributing to project estimation and proposal creation
  • Coordinate subject matter expert (SME) support for complex sales opportunities
  • Participate in outbound business development activities to identify new growth opportunities
  • Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and partner meetups
Qualifications & skills 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership management, channel sales, or similar roles within the eCommerce or SaaS industry
  • Proven track record of developing and managing successful strategic partnerships
  • Understanding of the Shopify+ ecosystem and enterprise eCommerce landscape
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in sales support and business development processes
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Travel required approximately 10%

Physical demands requirements

Common office/desk environment that involves long periods of time at a stationary desk with extensive computer work that requires repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. This position also requires approximately 

The annual salary range of $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 USD is commensurate to several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to years of experience, skill set / qualifications, and geographical work location considering differences in cost of living, therefore, actual base pay offered may vary.  

This position is eligible for benefits sponsored by the company, including medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and Employee Assistance Programs.
