Job description

As the IT Director at AssetWatch, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure, focusing on ensuring that our team has access to reliable and high-performing equipment, effective equipment support, reliable information systems integrations, and general IT support for cross-functional teams. You will manage the company’s hardware inventory, work closely with the Internal Project Manager on cross functional projects, and collaborate with third-party teams including Security and Equipment vendors to implement secure and efficient solutions.  

What You'll Do: 

  • Hardware Management & Support: Ensure that all company employees have reliable and efficiently performing computer hardware. Provide timely support to avoid any downtime, and manage relationships with third-party vendors to maintain and upgrade hardware as needed. 
  • Information Systems Integration Management:  Work closely with Project Manager on IS implementations.   Manage post-launch of SaaS solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems to support various business functions including auditing and pricing negotiations. 
  • Inventory Management: Manage the company’s hardware inventory, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal. Coordinate with a third-party vendor to ensure inventory is up-to-date and meets company standards. 
  • Collaboration with Project Management: Work closely with the Internal Project Manager to align IT infrastructure with ongoing projects and strategic goals. 
  • Security Collaboration: Collaborate with third-party security advisors to implement secure IT solutions and processes, ensuring that all hardware and software systems comply with the company’s security policies and industry best practices. 
  • Information Systems Solutions Review & Audit: Regularly review, audit, and manage the company’s SaaS solutions to ensure they meet performance standards, are cost-effective, and align with company needs. 
  • Onboarding & Offboarding Support: Lead the IT aspect of employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring that all new team members have the necessary tools and access, and that departing employees are securely offboarded. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, systems, and infrastructure to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT department. 
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and policies. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employees' technical skills and knowledge. 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management, preferably in a remote or distributed work environment.
  • Proven experience with managing IS integrations and IT infrastructure for a large remote workforce.
  • Strong understanding of hardware management, including procurement, maintenance, and vendor management.
  • Experience working with third-party security advisors and managing IT security implementations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and other relevant IT management frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience with remote support tools and platforms (e.g., VPNs, remote desktop, cloud collaboration tools).

We have a distributed team that works remotely across locations in the United States. We are open to candidates from most states but collaboration within core working hours is required.
