THIS POSITION IS A SUMMER INTERN FOR 2025
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist in using mathematical techniques and models to test rate levels for profitability and provide statistical justification needed to revise rates.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS
May be called upon by members in the Underwriting Department to work on projects.
QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics major required with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Must be able to read, analyze and interpret procedures, regulations, instructions, manuals and other documents as required. Excellent telephone, public relations and oral/written communication skills are required.
Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
Must possess personal computer skills to include, but not limited to: experience with Windows, word processing, internet and proficiency with Excel.
