This role will be within the UK Communications team for Airbus Defence and Space. Based at offices in Stevenage and also working remotely, the team has a wide remit and work across the main UK sites of Stevenage, Portsmouth and Newport. It is a great opportunity to learn about communicating to a wide-ranging internal audience and working with an international team.

What will you be doing?

During this placement, the activities you may undertake will include:

  • Developing content for internal communications including sourcing content for articles and writing engaging stories for employees;
  • Creating presentations and audiovisual material;
  • Organising events – for customer visits and employee communications;
  • Contributing ideas for overall UK communications campaigns and monitoring KPIs.

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Studying towards a degree in Marketing Communications, Media, Digital Communications, Public Relations and Communications;
  • General computer literacy, including MS Office and Google Suite;
  • Good communication skills and able to speak and liaise with people at different levels;
  • Work well in a collaborative environment;
  • Committed individual with demonstrated experience of working under pressure to tight schedule requirements is desirable.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance OR You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check).
