Senior GIS Application Developer & Project Manager (JavaScript Focused)

Description

Join the North Carolina Department of Information Technology - Transportation (NCDIT-T) as a GIS Technical Specialist contractor. This role is a minimum 12-month engagement focused on providing advanced GIS-focused Business Analysis and Project Management support to the GIS Unit’s Technical Team. Your contributions will directly support teams such as Application Development, Spatial Database, Geospatial Services, Systems Engineering, and Architecture.

You will coordinate the delivery of high-quality applications and services across multiple enterprise technical teams. Additionally, you will supply detailed schedule and resource information to the unit's Project Controls Analyst to aid in resource planning and scheduling. Your responsibilities will include gathering and documenting requirements for specific projects, tracking and guiding tasks, and assisting in managing project timelines. In some cases, you may also assist with testing, troubleshooting system issues, and facilitating collaboration around software delivery. Regular use of Microsoft DevOps will be expected to support these efforts.
