Koch-Glitsch, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking to add a dynamic and strategic Innovation Leader to our team.
The preference is for this role to be located in Wichita, KS but we are open to considering remote scenarios for the right candidate.
Koch-Glitsch (KG) keeps our customers’ operations running with a wide range of innovative products and solutions serving the refining, chemical and petrochemical industries. As a full-service provider of mass transfer (MT), mist elimination and phase separation equipment, we handle everything from design and fabrication to delivery and installation.
What You Will Do
- Develop and lead the development of innovation strategies and product roadmaps that align with KG vison and business objectives.
- Foster and create a culture of innovation by encouraging collaboration, customer focus, market understanding and principled experimentation within the team and across KG capabilities.
- Work with various teams to identify emerging trends, technologies and market opportunities to drive forward thinking initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, validate ideas and offerings. Connect with commercial teams to create a portfolio of opportunities aligned with market needs and opportunities.
- Drive cross functional collaboration between innovation, marketing, sales, and operations to ensure alignment and support for innovation opportunities.
- Build and maintain a network of external partners, including internal to Koch, startups, academia, and industry experts.
- Champion the use of data-driven decision-making and analytics to guide innovation.
- Measure and communicate the impact of innovation activities on business performance and value creation.
- Lead and oversee venture development initiatives, from concept through to commercialization, including creating business cases, securing funding, managing innovation, monitoring and evaluating the performance of new ventures.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements (Basic Qualifications):
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical, or related field).
- Experience leading R&D, commercial or technical teams.
- Experience working with global, cross functional teams.
- In-depth experience with developing and commercializing new products and offerings.
- Demonstrated ability to connect innovation opportunities with commercial strategy and market needs.
- Current on industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices for offering development.
- Detailed understanding of refining and petrochemical industries uses and applications of MT equipment.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Advanced degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical, or related field).
- 15+ years of experience with developing and leading R&D, commercial or technical teams.
For this role, we anticipate paying around $150,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
